Everyone was very helpful. The front desk in the morning was great; the nurse assistant, Izzy, and Dr. Howard were awesome. They saved my cat, Sunny. They listened to my concerns without judgment and helped my Sunny get the medical attention he needed. Thank you. Pics of Sunny in the hospital and the next day at home doing well.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Green Acres Veterinary Center and the incredible team that cared for our dog, Charlie, during one of the most terrifying experiences our family has ever faced. Charlie suddenly became very ill and was ultimately diagnosed with suspected immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP) with severe gastrointestinal bleeding and critically low platelets. Over the course of several days, he required ICU-level care, extensive diagnostics, blood transfusions, constant monitoring, and aggressive treatment. There were moments where we truly did not know if he was going to survive. From the moment we arrived, the doctors, technicians, assistants, and support staff acted quickly and compassionately. They were thorough, attentive, and incredibly communicative every step of the way. We never felt left in the dark. Someone always took the time to explain Charlie’s lab work, treatment plan, medications, risks, and next steps in a way that we could understand, even during extremely emotional moments. What stood out the most was how deeply everyone genuinely cared about Charlie. Every single person treated him like he was their own dog. They celebrated small wins with us, checked on us emotionally, answered our countless questions with patience and kindness, and never made us feel like a burden during a very overwhelming few days. We also appreciated how transparent they were about pricing and treatment options. They gave us honest recommendations while still making us feel included in every decision. At no point did we feel pressured — only supported. Because of the care Charlie received at Green Acres, he was able to come home. We know he still has a recovery journey ahead of him, but we are incredibly grateful that we were given that chance. Thank you to every single person who helped care for Charlie. We will never forget the compassion, expertise, and humanity you showed our family during such a difficult time.

We recently went through one of the hardest experiences of our lives with our dog, Charlie, and I cannot say enough about the care we received from the neurology team and the entire staff. From the very beginning, they treated Charlie with such compassion and took the time to truly listen to our concerns. They were thorough, thoughtful, and incredibly kind as they worked through a very complex and ultimately heartbreaking situation. Even when we didn’t get the outcome we were hoping for, we always felt supported, informed, and cared for. Dr Karson took the time to explain everything clearly and continued to follow up with us, even after Charlie passed, which meant more than we can put into words. This is a team that genuinely cares, not just about their patients, but about the families who love them. We are so grateful for the compassion, honesty, and dedication they showed us during such a difficult time. Thank you for taking such good care of Charlie 💛🐾

Our Golden Retriever puppy finally got one by us and swallowed a sock around 8pm on a Saturday night. After calling all Vet urgent care and Emergency locations that were more local to us near Rochester we called and received tremendous assistance over the phone from Green Acres and were advised to bring Jeter in. So we made the long trip to Buffalo and couldn’t be happier that we did. The staff was amazing, so caring and helpful from the reception staff to the Vet. They were able to help our mouthy guy and retrieved the sock quickly and sent us on our way within the hour. I could not recommend this place enough to anyone that that may have a pet emergency and don’t think twice about the drive if from further away, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to everyone at Green Acres

Wait time was minimal. Staff was kind. Doctor was knowledgeable and worked amazing with our dog. He was absolutely wonderful. If I wasn't happy with my current vet, I would definitely want him to take care of our pup. I also loved how the lady at the front desk referred to her as our baby. They definitely care for animals there. It's not just a job. Knowledge and kindness

Saved our Bernese Mountain Dog! I cannot say enough about our wonderful experience with Green Acres. We frantically brought our very sick dog in to be seen, and they quickly diagnosed a bowel obstruction. They presented us with our options! Sable had successful surgery a few hours later! We are so grateful that they saved her life. They took amazing care of her. We were also very pleased with the way they interacted with us through the ordeal. We are very grateful!!! Thank you for your expertise Dr Bernat, as well as the wonderful vet techs and support staff. You are sooo appreciated! ….The Hosken Family (We did not know if Sable would get through this. We are so lucky to have had a happy ending. I felt compelled to write this because if it had turned out differently, we would still be so grateful for the overall compassionate care and skilled efforts of all involved)

I am so grateful for the excellent care they gave my sweet Tabasco! I'm sure they hear this all the time, he means the world to me! My dad gave him to me when he was 6 months old (I'm a daddy's girl all the way). I just lost my dad to lewy body dementia and alzheimer's on march 1st this year. Tabasco got his name because my dad put Tabasco sauce on everything! So yes he's my best friend, he's my furry soul mate, but he's also the most important gift my dad ever gave me, I know that God sent him to me to get me through the crazy few years. So I cannot thank them enough for keeping him safe and helping him feel better. What they do everyday makes such a huge difference in people's lives! Their compassion and care will never be forgotten!!!

The staff were all so incredibly kind and caring. I brought my cat in for what I believed was an obstruction from eating plastic and they talked to me about every option I had through the whole process. Is it expensive? Yes, it’s an emergency vet. However, I felt seen and understood in my concerns and everyone was very reassuring. I was able to visit my boy while he was admitted after his surgery and his doctor came in to talk about his care because she saw I was visiting. I’m not going to act like the cost wasn’t shocking, but I also understand that it’s an emergency clinic and much like an ER for humans, it’s more expensive. Thank you to the staff for showing their caring and concern while giving my boy the best care! He’s happy and healthy now thanks to Green Acres!

I cannot thank this veterinary emergency hospital enough for their kindness and compassion during one of the hardest moments of my life. While driving home from Canada on a holiday, my dog, Tinny, stopped breathing. Many clinics that were listed as open were actually closed, but this hospital took the time to help guide us there. Unfortunately, despite my efforts to perform CPR during the drive, Tinny’s heart had stopped by the time we arrived. We were simply too late. The staff treated us with incredible kindness and respect. They carefully explained the situation, gave us options for aftercare and cremation, and helped us make arrangements closer to home. They even recommended using an ice-filled cooler to keep Tinny safe during the trip back. I am deeply grateful for the time they spent with us and for the comfort they provided during such a painful experience. I also want to thank them for the work they do helping homeless and rescued animals. Tinny himself was a rescue dog. I found him as a small Chihuahua living on the streets of Puerto Rico with a broken leg. I brought him home to Maryland, where he began a new life with a loving family. He brought us so much joy, and I will always be grateful for the years we shared together. In memory of Tinny, thank you for the compassion, professionalism, and care you showed us. Veterinary hospitals like yours make a tremendous difference in the lives of both animals and the people who love them.
